I only met him once after leaving England for Australia. Stayed with him and Frances in Chester. What a wonderful couple they were. Stayed in touch over the years. A warm sense of humour, always thinking of others, generous ... I only wish I could have convinced him to come downunder for a holiday. Was proud to be small part of the Read extended family.
